DATE: Sunday, May 3A couple takes advantage of warm weather and rebuilt beaches at 42nd Street on Sunday, May 3.PROGRESS: By Sunday afternoon, little forward progress since Saturday was visible in the south end beach replenishment project, and the dredge Liberty Island did not appear to be at sea. From a feeder pipeline that lands just south of 42nd Street, the pipeline now extends southward, and beaches at 43rd and 44th Streets are closed.
