first_imgTenerife announced on Friday night that the labor authority approved the Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTE) presented and requested by Tenerife last week “due to force majeure”, as a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic.“The aforementioned temporary employment regulation file (ERTE)”, details the entity’s brief, “includes the professional sports staff of the first team, grassroots soccer area, technical bodies and the rest of the sports and administrative staff.” Tenerife adds that it was forced to take this step “due to the serious health, economic and social crisis” derived from the Covid-19 pandemic, and by which thousands of people have died and tens of thousands have been infected throughout the National territory.The ERTE presented by the club has been coordinated by the economist Salvador Miranda Calderín and has received the advice of the club’s labor lawyer, Rubén Ojeda Santana and the entity’s Financial Director, Melania Rodríguez.“Always looking for the interests of all Tenerife employees, the board of directors decided to request before the corresponding body, the temporary suspension of employment of its workers due to the declaration of the state of alarm and the exceptional situation we have been experiencing since last day.
